Buy them for what they were designed for and you’ll be impressed.
The drop in action is simple and easy, less ankle-contortion than other fast entry tech, however the muscle memory to step out with the toe side engaged rather than heel side when on a slope, took a little development after 5 years twisting my back foot out of a binding.
The binding is heavier (1.3kg vs 0.9kg for a set Rome BLs as a reference), but the tech is bullet proof, zero toe strap slips (as per FASE) and no concerns around deep powder entry/exit as per my my other daily driver binding choice from the past five seasons.
Any boot you choose is also a clear win - especially given how uncomfortable the latest generation of ‘the other brand’s’ proprietary tech fast entry boots have become.
