We owe the mountains everything.
Nidecker is committed to improving our social and environmental footprint.
Here are some of the ways we’re doing that.
We give 1% back to the planet.
Since 2019, 1% of every sale we make goes straight to environmental initiatives with clear goals, as part of our membership of 1% For The Planet.
We're using better materials.
Our product designers are continually innovating with more environmentally-friendly materials and processes – such as bio resin, recycled steel edges, vegan boots, and 100% PFAS-free boots and bindings.
We work with responsible factories.
Nidecker is leading the way in supply chain transparency. We work with skilled, ethical manufacturing partners and build relationships with them for the long term.
We treat employees and partners with respect.
Our Code of Conduct is a benchmark for the snowboard industry. It’s a comprehensive workplace policy that protects the rights of everyone working at Nidecker and commits all our partners to fair operating practices.
We use minimal packaging.
We’ve eliminated single-use plastic from our boot and binding packaging. All our cardboard is recycled and reusable or recyclable, and through efficient packaging design we’ve drastically reduced the amount we use.
We minimize transport emissions.
95% of our products are sent via maritime or rail freight rather than air transport. And by shipping direct from the factory to our largest retailers, we’ve streamlined distribution – further cutting down our CO2 emissions.
We support good causes.
Regular product tie-ins enable us to give a slice of the sticker price to positive organizations like the Keep A Breast Foundation and WEMountain avalanche training.
We’re giving old products a second life.
Through our partnership with Jones Snowboards, we turn old snowboards into new ones as part of the Re-Up program.
Others are upcycled into skateboards by our friends at Nok.
We Stash the Trash.
Each summer, our Stash the Trash event encourages people all over the world to clean up their local neighbourhood. Mountains, beaches, rivers, streets… nowhere on earth needs garbage.
