TGR takes a closer look at the insane terrain access from Squaw and Alpine, starring Tim Humphreys

With potentially the biggest winter of all time still pumping away in California, it’s been the perfect year for Tim Humphreys to really hit his stride. Transitioning his big kicker tricks seamlessly from the park onto some of the monster backcountry lines that have re-opened this season, it’s no wonder that when TGR were after some riders to show them the outbounds terrain at Squaw and Alpine, Tim was top of the list.

We’ve seen some of the lines already on his Insta, but when cut with the long lens angles the scale of the features really comes into focus. As much as we’d like to be in Tahoe for the insane winter they’re having, we’re stoked Tim is there to make the most of it.

What He Rode

The Merc

While Tim butters, pops, spins and jibs his way through anything from powder to park, he needs a board that’s powerful, adaptable and comfortable going switch on landings and take offs.

Enter, The Merc.

High performance at great value, it’s all about giving you the power to send! Whether it’s cliff drops, pow slashes or piste butters, the Standard Camrock three-phase camber construction provides both pop and stability all over the mountain.

The Premium Sandwich Construction adds carbon into the build for added durability and improved shock absorption and the lightweight Master Core blends different wood types for the best in weight-to-power.
