Powerful and aggressive. For heavier or more experienced riders, a stiff binding delivers the support to charge hard and soak up big landings.
Stiff
BASEPLATE
The original Supermatic® baseplate takes our proven Axis platform and adds Drop IN™ tech for lightning-fast entry. Glass-filled nylon delivers a versatile mid-stiff flex, while rockered corners aid natural board flex. 30% Glass Fiber / 70% Nylon
HIGHBACK
The LT's upgraded highback provides increased lateral support for driving through turns, controlling take-offs and stomping landings. Speed entry spines on the inside help your boot slide straight in. 30% Glass Fiber / 70% Nylon
STRAP
Constructed from a single piece of injected TPU, the Exo-Frame S Hybrid is lightweight, bombproof and supportive, with a redesigned ankle-toe connection and a smooth surface underneath that makes entry and exit easier than ever.
TOE STRAP
Our updated Hexo Toecap features an enhanced 3D shape that wraps the corner of your boot. The asymmetric design lets you switch them between the left and right feet to customize the fit, depending on your boot's size and shape.
BUCKLES
Our next-gen LSR 2.0 automatically locks in both directions as soon as you stop cranking. Quickly set your preferred strap tension for speed entry or make rapid adjustments on the fly.
FEATURES
Active Strap Technology automatically lifts the straps when you recline the highback, creating space for rapid entry and exit. Once closed, the straps instantly return to your pre-selected tension.
FEATURES
Drop IN™ Tech works using a triggered hiback. Just push your foot in through the back and step down on the heel pedal to automatically engage the binding. That’s it – you’re ready to shred. A simple release lever makes exiting just as rapid.
We design our footbeds with a 2.5º canted contact surface for optimal ankle and knee alignment and efficient energy transmission.
Our standard Offset Multi-Disk can be mounted on four-hole or Channel inserts – without the need for an accessory disk. The hole patterns are offset from the center for more toe-heel or stance-width adjustability.
Adjust your straps on the medial side to fit the boot and keep them centered. Quick-Set Latches are tool-free, simple and secure, with numbers on the ladder to help you quickly dial in your setting.
Smooth plates strategically placed inside the binding to reduce friction with the outsole of your boot. Slip-N-Grip allows you to easily slide your foot in and out without compromising the underfoot comfort of our BankBeds.

Slide in, step down, GO! It is the best feeling with the LT Supermatics after 25 years of using strap in's. I got my ski patrol jacket this year and figured this would be the best gift I could give myself for making that happen. I was absolutely correct. The energy saved with these keep me on the hill longer and it's so much easier to take care of other people when taking the process of getting into and out of a binding out of the equation.
Keeping up with skiers right off the lift is no worry anymore and stepping in using a toboggan or on the side of the hill is no longer a struggle. They feel very comfortable in use and maybe slightly stiffer than my previous Missions. Having a consistent binding setting every time is a game changer. Using the lever unlock is very convenient for this very reason and keeps the strap settings every time you step out. Leads to being able to make single adjustments each time till you find exactly the ride you're looking for.
I found a couple very minor inconveniences using these bindings. Check the strap positions when you step in the first time at the hill as they may have changed when transporting the board. I just toss my stuff in my car so it's probably the biggest reason for this issue. Using the unlatch lever requires downward pressure on the heel and then releasing that heel pressure. It is much more difficult to do while toe side on the side of a hill.
Overall, best snowboarding upgrade I've made and will be happy to wear these out over the coming years. Go buy a helmet and kneepads too, you'll thank yourself!
Hey Derek,
Congrats on the a huge accomplishment! We’re stoked the LT Supermatics are saving you energy for those long shifts. Have a good one :)

Nidecker LT Supermatic Bindings (on Jones Freecarve 6000 & Nidecker Mosquito) Duration: 10+ Days Conditions: 40cm fresh pow to slushy soup, sunny groomers to steep ice. Terrain: Gentle slopes to the terrifying "Black Wall" (46° of adrenaline).
The Verdict: Solid, Reliable, and Exhausting (In a Good Way) 💪
1. The "Click-In" Epiphany ⚡ Clipping in is a breeze. Step in, stomp down, locked. No drama. I only used "old-school mode" (straps) in deep pow. 99% of the time? Step, click, go.
2. The Unlocking Button (aka The Yoga Test) 🧘♂️ The button is low. Like, really low. This led to a few "moments" early on where my timing was off. I wasn't falling, but I was stuck head-down, staring at my bindings while still sliding forward. Because I couldn't see in front of me, I found myself blindly drifting toward the "butt" of the ski line, praying I wouldn't take out a family of four before I got my foot loose. 😅 But once I mastered the "Unclip & Skate," it changed everything.
3. The "Infinite Loop" Problem 🔄 These bindings made me too efficient. Unclip at the bottom, hop on the lift (even drag lifts!), clip back in before getting off. Result: You never stop. I rode non-stop for 90 mins. My legs were the limit, not the gear. I had to force myself to take breaks just so my quads didn't resign.
4. Trust Issues? None. 🛡️ I took these down the "Black Wall" (46°). Zero fear of the gear failing. They held my edge perfectly.
Conclusion 🏁 Once you survive the first 48h of learning the unclip button, these redefine your ride. Solid, fast, and will destroy your legs because you’ll never have an excuse to stop. Highly recommended. 🔥
Hey Hugo,
This might be the most thorough binding review we've ever received and we're here for it!
The 'Infinite Loop' problem is one we'll take full responsibility for. Quad burnout is a known side effect of the Supermatic system and unfortunately we have no plans to fix it.
Glad to hear the Black Wall didn't phase them as that's exactly what they're built for. Thanks for putting them through their paces and taking the time to share your experience.
See you on the snow and keep shreding!

Easy to mount on the board, short learning curve (adaptation period) regarding both the feel while riding and the stepping in and out of the binders. Used under a while week, riding around 4 hours per day and it is a delight to be able to bind in and effortlessly. People on the slopes were really curious and impressed by the system and several asked about it. Not needing to buy a specific set of boots is a huge plus for me. Highly recommended!

I bought the LT SUPERMATIC. Very good quality over all and the response time is amazing. Setting up the bindings was very easy the only thing I would say is to play around with the disc set for the toe and heel, you don’t really notice a difference unless your doing a lot of switching from park to all mountain. Overall very good bindings for the price
Hello Brent,

Having been a snowboarder for the last 37 years, of those I have been both an instructor and trainer, these bindings are fantastic.
Back in the day, taking a snowboarding group for lessons was always a challenge being in and out of the bindings on a regular basis to demonstrate, articulate and then support the students on the techniques - back then we had step in bindings but very stiff and unfortunately the company closed leaving few options. These will rock if you are an instructor/trainer...!
Removing the instructor part of this review, from a riders perspective, these bindings are receptive, easily adjustable, great on areas of the slope, be that slushy afternoon runs back to the hut after blasting all day, or indeed full on heliboarding in waste deep powder. Hitting first tracks first thing in the morning, the amount of control is legendary across the groomed slope.
There is no issues getting in and out of the bindings in powder, on slope or indeed pulling up to the slope bar.!! Its great to also pull away from the chair lift and push down and slide into the binding.. boom ride away..
Hi Warren!
Thank you so much for taking the time to leave such a detailed and positive review for our LT Supermatic® bindings. We're thrilled to hear that they have been the best ones you've ever ridden, especially with your extensive experience as an instructor and trainer.
We designed these bindings with both functionality and comfort in mind, so it's great to hear that they have exceeded your expectations on the slopes. We hope they continue to serve you well on all your future adventures, whether it's on a slushy afternoon run or a full-on heliboarding experience.
Thank you once again for choosing our LT Supermatic® bindings. Happy riding!

I sad to do a bad review of these binding but after a entire season riding the Lt supermatic .
Very often I had to fight to enter with my heel to activate de mechanism .
And sometimes the release switch don't work and my feet get stuck in the binding.
I was really happy to buy and try these binding but now I prefer to return conventional binding or maybe Fase system.
I learned how to snowboard using old skool Flow bindings back in 2005, and upgraded a few years ago to the NX2's and loved them even more. Wasn't planning on buying new bindings, but I saw these on the slopes while on holiday in France. While getting my board waxed I started talking to the shop staff about them. They had them, and they let me try the OG ones for a day. Seriously... I didn't know that it could get even quicker and more convenient after a chair lift. Took me some getting used to on how to step in and release. Bending down further than for Flow to release was challenging but that's not a design flaw -- it was my gut. One can't blame the bindings for one's lack of exercise hehe. So if you've got some belly, be aware. ;-) Other than that, Supermatics are *perfect* for when I plan to go snowboarding with my skiing buddies next year. I loved them so much I bought the LT's, and they're noticeably lighter than the OG ones! SO happy with them! (Now gots ta make it a priority to get rid of me belly...)
Hi Richard,
Love the journey from Flow bindings all the way to the LT Supermatic! And we appreciate the honesty about the release button situation… we'll leave the gym membership recommendation out of the warranty policy for now. 😄
Seriously though, welcome to the Supermatic family, glad the LTs are treating you well and hope you get plenty of runs in with your skiing buddies next season!
See you on the snow,
Artur

An adaptive snowboard instructor, I need to take off my board more frequently than in a traditional lesson setting. Supermatics have been a game changer! Moreover I realized quickly that these bindings can help my students with fine motor difficulties overcome one of their biggest challenges on the mountain - putting on their bindings at the start of the run. Huge fan of these bindings for instructors and students with different needs.

Great packaging great product, love the step in and go.
One suggestion would be to rework the latch from push to open to lift to open or once pushed it locks in.
I’m 6’5” so pushing the unlock down and holding while trying to lift foot out is a little awkward.
Just my two cents.
Hi Jon,
Thank you for your feedback on our LT Supermatic® product. We're glad to hear that you enjoyed the packaging and found the step-in feature convenient. We appreciate your suggestion for improving the latch and will definitely take it into consideration for future updates. Thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts with us. This was exactly what my boys wanted. They can't wait to get on the mountain and just ride. No more stopping/sitting to get strapped in.

Only thing I wish they would change is the release mechanism to make it easier to reach but otherwise I love them thanks nidecker

Take a bit of getting used to.. but are fantastic. They feel stable and once set up to your boots are a game changer
Thanks for the feedback, Matry!
Totally fair that there’s a short learning curve, and we’re glad to hear they really clicked once set up.
Stoked they’re feeling stable and delivering that game-changer experience. Enjoy the ride!

love them
The best bindings I’ve ever owned! Slightly difficult to set up but worked through it and got it figured out! Super functional and a great product.
Over all love the innovation the Nidecker group is doing. I purchased a pair of Supermatics because I am 51 and bending while seated is not as easy as it once was. Over all I like the Supermatics binding. However if set to tight they are a pain to get in and out of. Also one thing that would make these more versatile would be to put a phase style ankle strap on them. This would give a FASE Supermatics Hybrid.
I upgraded my ankle strap to Bateleon FASE ankle strap. Though I had to slightly open the strap mounting hole. It works great and allows a little more versatility.
If I would have seen the FASE binding before the Supermatics, I would have probably purchased them.
The Supermatic is a real game changer for every snowboarder out there. Beside the step-in system which is absolutely awesome, I can feel a lot more response from my board.
