Profesional snowboarder, three-time Olympian and World Cup winner from the Czech Republic. Not bad for a place that doesn't have big mountains. Sarka, with her drive and competitive nature, managed to make it all the way to the top which got her a gleaming trophy case including an X games medal and three Olympic appearances, taking a respectable fifth in Sochi. Sarka's topped the podium on numerous World Cup stops in slopestyle and overall park. She is a great role model and has been a vocal public figure in snowboarding since the early 2000s. Sarka and her now wife made important steps getting gay marriage recognised and legalized in the Czech republic.
TELL US ABOUT A STAND-OUT MOMENT FROM YOUR SNOWBAORD CAREER.
I feel like every podium and every accomplishment was a stand out moment. Being in a state of flow and pulling it off at the right moment. I’m very proud of that.
WHEN YOU'RE NOT SNOWBOARDING, WHAT DO YOU LOVE DOING?
I pack my van and go adventure.I’m looking for new fun spots for climbing, biking, surfing.
WHAT'S A PIECE OF ADVICE YOU WISH YOU HAD WHEN YOU STARTED OUT SNOWBOARDING?
Maybe I should have thought little bit more about crazy dangerous things I did. But then It got me to where I’m at now. So I wouldn’t change a thing. Even tho sometimes I had to pay the prize with injury. Every experience has a purpose.
FAVOURITE SPOTIFY PLAYLISTS?
I don't have a playlist, I like the hits of the 80's
