How can I get a catalog? We do our best to have as little impact on our fragile environment as possible, so you can either use this website as our virtual catalog, or you can download a PDF of our catalog here.
Can I get my hands on some stickers? If you want some stickers, e-mail us at info, so that we can direct your request to one of our many distributors. Depending on where you are, you may be asked to send a self-addressed, stamped envelope to your local distributor, so that they can just drop the stickers in your envelope and get them to you.
Is my board “shred ready” when I buy it? YES, all Nidecker products are ready to ride straight out of the package. All boards are tuned and factory-waxed, so that you can get right down to business as soon as you leave the shop.
Will you sponsor me? Maybe, but you have to do some legwork to prove you deserve it. We suggest putting together a “virtual portfolio” that will highlight your accomplishments, plans, and the goals you want to pursue by becoming a sponsored rider. Photos and videos are obviously the most important things to include. We have to see that you have the skillset required of a professional. Also 75% of all sponsorships are about your character, so you will have to be a good character fit to our brand vision and image, as well as a complement to our team of diverse riders.
We cannot sponsor everyone and you will not go from sponsorless to pro overnight. The road to becoming a pro snowboarder is a long one, and, if you have the skills and the drive, you will most likely start as a grass roots/regional rider. We have reps and distributors around the world that help us scout out the freshest talent. Some of those riders will then move on to bigger and brighter careers, based on the amount of hard work they put forth to help support the Nidecker brand.
We will review everything we send you and get back to you as soon as we can. Do not get discouraged if we cannot sponsor you, keep on working on your riding and keep trying!
How or where can I find a dealer to purchase Nidecker products? Simple, just click on our Authorized Dealer locator, follow the required locator prompts, and let our site’s robots do the searching for you.
How do I know what size board is right for me? The only way to know for sure is through experience. You just have to try different shapes and lengths until you figure out what is right for you. But everyone has to start somewhere, and there are a few easy guidelines you can follow to get off on the right foot. The first depends on the type of riding you want to do. If you plan on doing mostly freestyle riding, that is, hitting booters, jibs, and pipes, you will want to ride a shorter board. For more of a freeride, that is, first tracks through twelve inches of pow, a slightly longer board is typically suitable.
The rule of thumb is that, if you hold the board on end in front of you, it should come up to somewhere between your chin and the bridge of your nose. If you can find a board about that long, you should be ok to start. More advanced riders can decide if they want to go above or below that range, but at the end of the day, it is a really just a matter of preference. Contact any of our Authorized Dealers for advice, they will help you figure out which board is right for you.
I have a bigger foot. Do I need a wider board? It all depends. With most boots these days being more low profile, and bindings offering toe and heel ramps, you really do not need a wide board unless you are over a size 11.5 boot (U.S.). Typically, wide boards start at a 26.0 cm waist width and go wider as the length goes longer. Again, get fitted properly at your local Authorized Nidecker Dealer to get more of a custom set up and decide if a wide or standard width board is best for you. For the best performance and fit, we suggest matching your Nidecker board with Nidecker Boots and Bindings
How should my boots fit? These days with boot and shoe technology so close, you can typically choose the same size boot as you wear in your street shoe size. Of course, boot sizes may differ and you may go up or down a half or full size. The best fit is when the toes are just barely touching the boot liner wall, as over time the boot liners pack out and make for more room for your toes as well as the rest of your foot. Refer to your nearest Authorized Nidecker Dealer for a more customized boot fitting, as this is the most critical component to you having a great day of riding. You’ve got to keep the feet happy!
What Mounting Patterns are My Nidecker Bindings Compatible With?
We’d like you to be able to choose whatever you want to ride. Our included binding discs are compatible with both 3D and 4*4 hole insert patterns.
Do you have any pointers on how to set up my bindings? Binding adjustment is an art form, not a science. You may have to try every stance adjustment possible before you dial in the perfect stance for the type of riding you prefer. Sometimes you may have different set ups based on the type of conditions you are riding on any given day, as well as the type of board you are riding, so there is no one perfect answer. You just have to experiment until you reach a spot of total happiness.
However, a good rule of thumb is to initially set the width of your stance at shoulder width, then you can determine whether you want to go further or closer together in stance width. In terms of the angles of your stance, many people prefer giving their front feet has somewhat more angle than their back ones, but that is nothing more than personal preference. All Nidecker bindings come with a tool to make on-the-hill adjustments as needed. Keep this on you when you ride at all times.
